New Penguin Header :D

I guess I wasn't suppose to post something new until Monday after saying bye in my last post, but I couldn't help it. Haha.

Made myself a new header using Paint. It's actually quite hard to do this with only a mouse and no tablet. But for a piece done in 20min, I'm quite proud of it. Though I might just stick to technical drawings....it's a lot easier drafting floor plans than drawing art pieces.

Until next time, PENGUIN WAVES BYE!

Divas in Distress Trailers

After seeing a great poster, I finally have a chance to see the promotion clips. AHHH I'M LOVING IT ALREADY! Even though I'm getting sick of the rich guy, poor girl scenarios, I'm actually really looking forward to the Mandy Wong/Him Law pairing. Seems like it's going to be a sad and depressing story, but they make such a cute couple, so who cares.

Can't wait for this to air! 8/27! JUST 2 MORE DAYS!!
Until then, PENGUIN WAVES BYE!

Divas in Distress

I've been watching TVB dramas for years, and the posters for most of them suck. Very plain and no thought seems to be put in to them. But this year, I found one that actually looks nice, Divas in Distress(巴不得媽媽...). Maybe if TVB can come up with posters like this more often, I wouldn't be skipping so many of them.

Teddy Bear

This is a comic I did for my 4D class in early February. It's about a human who wakes up as a teddy bear and tries to escape from the room, but most of my classmates thought it was an angry robotic teddy bear trying to wreck havoc on the world. Oh wells, ENJOY!

I used Comic Life for this, and either Photoshop or Paint (can't really remember). I tried to experiment with representing time (the falling off the bed on page 2 and the climbing up the door on page 3). I also had fun drawing in the expression on the otherwise cheerful bear. The photos came out a little yellow due to the lighting in the room, but it works with the "happy" environment. Overall I had a great time taking these shots at different angle and taking seemingly impossible shots.

Mini Houses

I have this interest in mini houses. Mini like so-mini-that-I-can-walk-across-the-whole-house-with-a-few-steps. Many that exist in urban areas are in Japan, but there is one that's close to home. A 10-foot wide house located in San Francisco, CA. Designed by an architect friend of one of my high school teacher, it is lies on a driveway between two houses.
Stuck between two normal sized houses.

Who wouldn't want a house that tiny? It doesn't take much to clean. And look how spacious these rooms are! Almost like a regular house. But why is there no TV?

One day, I'm going to purchase a tiny plot of land and building a cute little house for myself. Until then, I'll just design mini houses that sit on imaginary plots of land. Oh how badly I want a mini house...

Welcome to My Igloo?

So I guess this is my first post. This probably is going to be a blog where I'm just going to be random. You can think of this as a giant wall inside my igloo where I would put random articles, posters, and whatever else I feel like taping up. Well, I guess I'll just share a pic of a penguin for now.

You have until Christmas to make this penguin happier. How? No idea. Guess that's something to figure out in the next 6 months.
